Volunteer Incentives
To recognize the valuable voluntary service rendered by NSS volunteers, it has been proposed to provide suitable incentives under the scheme. These incentives aim to honor the dedication and hard work of volunteers who contribute significantly to community development. Among the awards offered are the prestigious Indira Gandhi National Award, various State Awards, and University Level Awards, each designed to acknowledge the exemplary efforts of individuals and groups. By celebrating these contributions, we encourage a spirit of service and inspire more students to participate actively in community service initiatives.
Certification Eligibility
Regular activities and annual special camps form the core of the NSS program, providing volunteers with meaningful opportunities to engage with their communities in impactful ways. These initiatives not only foster a sense of responsibility but also encourage teamwork and leadership among participants. All NSS volunteers who have served for at least two years and completed a minimum of 240 hours of work are entitled to receive a certificate from the university. This certification not only recognizes their dedication and commitment but also serves as a valuable credential for their future academic and professional endeavors. By participating in these activities, volunteers gain hands-on experience and develop important skills such as communication, problem-solving, and organization, which contribute significantly to their personal growth and the betterment of the community. Through their efforts, NSS volunteers become catalysts for positive change, inspiring others to join in the pursuit of social service and community development.
Awareness Initiatives
Stage shows and processions play a crucial role in creating awareness about pressing social issues such as education, cleanliness, and health. These engaging events not only entertain but also inform the community, sparking discussions and encouraging action. Additionally, awareness rallies are organized to mobilize public support and promote understanding of various social challenges, fostering a sense of collective responsibility. Inviting doctors for health camps further enhances these initiatives, providing the community with essential health services and guidance. These camps not only offer valuable medical check-ups but also educate participants on preventive health measures and healthy living practices. By integrating these activities, we aim to create a more informed and proactive society that works together to address and overcome social issues.
