The Department of CSE-IoT and Cybersecurity with Blockchain Technology was established in the year 2025 with the vision of preparing students for the next generation of connected, secure, and intelligent digital systems. The department offers the Bachelor of Engineering Degree in IoT, Cybersecurity with Blockchain Technology Engineering with a strong focus on industry-oriented learning, innovation, and emerging technologies. The programme is designed to equip students with interdisciplinary knowledge spanning smart devices, secure communication systems, distributed ledger technologies, cloud platforms, and intelligent automation. 

 The department is steadily developing its academic and research ecosystem in emerging areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Blockchain Applications, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Network Security, Digital Forensics, Edge Computing, and Smart Infrastructure Systems. Well-qualified and experienced faculty members provide the necessary academic guidance and mentorship for students to achieve technical excellence along with leadership and professional skills. 

 The department has well-equipped laboratories including IoT Labs, Cybersecurity Labs, Blockchain Technology Labs, Programming Labs, and Computing Facilities to support practical learning and innovation. The emphasis is on project-based learning, hands-on experimentation, real-time applications, and industry-relevant skill development. Students are encouraged to work on innovative projects such as smart automation systems, secure digital platforms, blockchain-based applications, and connected device solutions. 

As a growing department, the focus is on building a strong academic culture through workshops, seminars, coding activities, technical talks, and collaborative learning opportunities that help students enhance their practical knowledge, creativity, and problem-solving skills. 

Add-on certification and training programmes in the areas of cloud computing, cybersecurity, blockchain development, networking, and software technologies are planned and conducted to improve employability and industry readiness. The department also aims to establish collaborations with industries, startups, training partners, and research organizations for internships, live projects, skill development, entrepreneurship, and placements.

Greetings from the Department of CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) at Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT), Bengaluru. It gives me immense pleasure to lead the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI&ML) which is striving towards the goal of providing innovative and quality education to the students to achieve academic excellence.

Since its establishment in 2019-20, the department has maintained an exemplary academic record. The MOUs are in process with leading industries and partnerships with professional bodies like ISTE and CSI.

The CSE (AIML) course emphasizes creativity and innovation and is supported by dedicated faculty who strive to inspire their students. We promote teamwork among students through projects and co-curricular activities. Each student’s overall progress is closely monitored by a proctor and the same is communicated to their parents.
