DEPARTMENT OF chemistry
Where Paths Converge and Success Unfolds
Department Of Chemistry
Established in 2001, the Department of Chemistry has become a hub for innovative teaching and research. Elevated to VTU Research Centre status in 2011, the department has secured grants from VTU Research Grant and VGST. Research focuses on catalysis, reaction kinetics, corrosion, polymers, nanomaterials, and electrochemistry.
To inspire future engineers, the department organizes guest lectures, quizzes, workshops, and conferences. Notable events include the national seminars on “Recent Advances in Material Science” (2011) and “Frontiers and Challenges in Chemistry” (2013), and an annual International Conference on Innovations and Challenges in Science and Technology. Faculty members are deeply engaged in both teaching and research.
